For this production, Craig was hired by TriFilm in Seattle to shoot a branded content video in Japan. Working with their producer and local Japanese crew, we covered the transformative story of Ebiya with the adoption of PowerBI and Azure ML to digitally transform their restaurant. The video played at the 2019 Corenote presentation by Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella.
Shot on Red Gemini with Sigma Cine Primes, I used a combination of Arri SkyPanel S60s and Jokers to light the restaurant and interview scenes. It was fascinating working with an old school Japanese gaffer and we were able to get a good variety of shots for the story at Ebiya’s restaurant, lab and the local town of Ise.
