Over the past twenty years, Craig has shot a variety of documentary shorts, series, and features that cover a wide range of subjects. From adventure sports to architecture and food to technology as well as more socially conscious and serious subjects such as Indigenous Childhood welfare and MMIWG2S, Craig enjoys collaborating with directors and producers to deliver cinematic images for documentary productions. Recent projects include work on “The Alpinist” (Red Bull Media House), “For Love” (Netflix and Amazon) and “Sasha Reid and the Midnight Order” (Freeform). As a filmmaker, Craig’s documentary shorts have been finalists at international film festivals in Canada, the US and Europe.
“As a documentary cinematographer, I believe first and foremost in creating a production environment that allows the story to be told as naturally as possible. As such, I aim to keep the shoot focused on the story, making use of natural light or minimally lit scenes, as well as smaller camera packages to deliver cinematic images. Authenticity and adaptability are key.”
